Investing in Schools
Strong schools help students succeed. I will push for better funding, updated materials, and safe learning spaces while making sure every dollar is spent wisely.
- Update textbooks and technology for better learning. Many schools rely on outdated materials, making it harder for students to keep up. I will push for updated books, computers, and learning tools.
- Improve school buildings and classroom conditions. A safe and well-maintained school helps students focus. I will support improvements to buildings, heating, cooling, and classroom spaces.
- Fund arts, music, and sports programs. These programs help students develop creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills. I will fight to keep them available for all students.
- Ensure responsible budgeting that puts students first. Every dollar should go toward improving education, not wasteful spending. I will advocate for smart, student-focused budgeting.

Supporting Teachers & Staff
Teachers and school staff work hard, but they need better pay, resources, and support. I will fight for fair wages, professional development, and safe workplaces.
- Fight for fair pay and benefits. Teachers and staff work hard every day. They deserve competitive wages and good benefits to keep the best educators in our schools.
- Provide better training and professional development. Education is always evolving. I will push for more training opportunities so teachers stay up-to-date with new teaching methods.
- Ensure safe and supportive work environments. Teachers and staff should feel safe at work. I will support policies that protect them from harassment, burnout, and unfair treatment.
- Recognize and value all school employees, not just teachers. Janitors, lunch staff, and office workers are essential. I will make sure they are treated with the same respect and support as teachers.

Creating a Safe & Inclusive Learning Environment
Students should feel safe and supported in school, no matter their background. I will work to stop bullying, expand mental health resources, and promote respect for all.
- Strengthen anti-bullying policies. No student should feel unsafe at school. I will push for stronger policies and programs to prevent bullying.
- Increase mental health resources for students. Many students struggle with stress and mental health challenges. I will work to bring more counselors and support services into schools.
- Promote respect and inclusion for all backgrounds. Schools should be a place where every student feels welcome, no matter their race, gender, or identity. I will support policies that ensure fairness and equality.
- Work with families and the community to support students. Education doesn’t stop at the classroom. I will encourage schools to partner with parents and community programs to help students succeed.

Improving School Lunches
A hungry student can’t focus in class. I will fight for healthy, high-quality meals for all students and work to keep school lunch programs accessible to every family.
- Advocate for fresh, healthy, and tasty meals. Good nutrition helps students stay focused. I will push for healthier meals with fresh ingredients.
- Ensure all students have access to nutritious food. No child should go hungry at school. I will fight to make sure every student gets the meals they need.
- Keep the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) in place. Many families depend on free and reduced-price lunches. I will protect this program so no child is left out.
- Make sure no student goes hungry due to financial struggles. I will work to end lunch debt policies that punish students for not being able to afford meals.
